QotD: Reflecting on September 11th
What are your personal memories of September 11th?
I turned on the TV because we were doing home testing. I set a Recording for ABC looking for the bug. When I saw the World Trade Centers smoking I knew something was wrong. I watched the second plane hit. I saw the people jumping from the buildings. I saw the towers come down.
I went to work that day in hope there would be confort in my co-workers. I did end up finding the comfort. I do not remeember getting any work done.
That night I came home and walked the streets of San Jose. The place seemed like a ghost town. I was trying to figure out what was going on. What was the world coming to.
I watched a lot of TV that week. It was days of coverage of 9/11. That was the only thing on TV for a week. I remember that ABC broke their coverage with The Century. It is a 12 hour documentry about some of the most important events of the 20th century. I spent that whole day watching that. It seemed like such a great move by ABC.
Those are just some of the things I remember.
