This time last year I never heard of Jason Anderson. Now I cannot stop listening to him. There is something about his voice and his music that just resonates with me. I like his melancholy singing. I have been listening to both his album lately, The Wreath and New England.
I know the two reasons I am listening to Jason Anderson is because of E-music and K Records. Subscribing to E-music pushes me to try music I have never heard before. I am often rewarded by finding music that is amazing. It has done a lot to broaden my musical knowledge.
One of the ways I pick music is because of what lable they are on. Ever since I heard those Microphones and Halo Benders albums I was hooked on K Records. It is a record Label that has a point of view. I know their lo-fi sound is not for everyone. I know that it is just about right for me.
