These lyrics are just amazing
from Underground
so I tattoo instructions on my ass
that say "don't ever put this body is a casket
burn it and put the ashes in a basket
and throw them in the Puget Sound
I don't ever want to be under ground"
oh no, oh no
from The Composition
now people send me emails that say thanks for saying the things they didn't know how to say
and the people in my head still visit me sometimes
and they bring all of their friends but I don't mind
I play my guitar like lightning
when I sing I like it when you sing too loud and clear
different voices different tones all sayin' "yeah, we're not alone"
I got good at feeling bad and that's why I'm still here
I got good at feeling bad and that's why I'm still here
I got good at feeling bad and that's why I'm still here
I think that Kimya Dawson is an acquired taste. If you end up liking it that taste, it is just amazing.
Back in 2001 I made someone a Christmas gift of a whole bunch of Single Artist Mix CDs. I just found the list of bands. The idea was that these were bands who defined me as a music lover. The ideas was if she was thinking of me she could pop in one of these mixes to feel closer to me.

I am not sure how this list would be different now. I am not sure what this whole idea says about me.
Son Volt is coming to San Francisco. Magnolia Electric Co is opening for them. That should be a great show. These are two bands that I love.
The problem that I need to find someone to go with me. I do not know anyone who likes these bands. That is not totally true. I just do not know anyone I would go to a concert with.
Abigail was into both of these bands. Son Volt is connected to Wilco, the band that was the reason we met. She also me to Magnolia Electric Co. There is still a lot of emotion caught up in both of these bands for me.
I want to go see this show, but I have a hard time thinking I will have a good time if I go alone. Is there anyone out there that wants to come with me?
I am posting this because Buzz just got a new Drum Machine.
Once I wanted to be the greatest
No wind of waterfall could stall me
And then came the rush of the flood
Stars of night turned deep to dust
Everyone I know loves the Neutral Milk Hotel Album In the Aeroplane Over the Sea. Most of the musicians I know like the Elephant 6 bands Apples In Stereo, Of Montreal, and Beulah. I wondered why I hear so few albums lately that sound like they have been influnced by these bands. I would expect to hear more of it.
Lately I have been listening to the Islands album Return To the Sea. This album shoulds like the band has been listening to Elephant 6 bands. This is one of the best albums of 2006. To bad the band has already broken up. This is worth a listen.
