I finally got around to watching the Departed. I downloaded it from Unbox a few weeks ago. I keep on putting it off because I knew I wanted to see it in one sitting.
It is an impressive movie. It has great actors, and great direction. I think the best thing Scorsese does here is let the actors act. The camera does not fly around like other Scorsese movies, but that fits this movie fine.
Jack Nicholson is really a sociopath in this movie. I am not a big fan of his, but he is perfect for this role. Everyone in the cast was just great.
After seeing the Departed I really want to see Infernal Affairs. The Departed ends like a Hong Kong police movie. I want to see how the movies are the same and how they are different.
